The Virgin Dance

In Altos Céus there is the belief that if the Dance of the Virgins, a ritual anchored in chastity, is held annually, the village will be blessed with great prosperity. Rita and her boyfriend, Lucas, want each other and want to start their sex life, were it not for Rita to have been chosen to be the Virgin. In the weeks leading up to the celebration, Dora returns to Altos Céus, intending to make peace with the past. Unable to accept her condition, Rita projects onto Dora the woman she aspires to be.
